Basingstoke based Southern Communications call centre solution scooped awards at the Comms National Awards and the European Call Centre & Customer Service awards.

Southern Communications Ltd won the SME Unified Communications Solution Award at CNA (Comms National Awards) on 11th October, held in the Park Lane Hilton Hotel, London.

This win came just a week after Southern Communications customer, RHP (Richmond Housing Partnership), won Best Small Contact Centre in the European Call Centre & Customer Service awards.

RHP, a top 5 UK company (Sunday Times Best Companies Survey), is using an NEC telephone system installed and maintained by Southern Communications, which has enabled them to reduce costs by an incredible 20K per annum and build better customer relationships, through the advanced technology offered by the NEC communication solution which includes a built-in call-back service and the functionality to direct callers to the person they spoke with previously.

On accepting the award, Paul Bradford CEO of Southern Communications said “It is fantastic to receive this award, we are delighted to be recognised for our continued commitment to delivering first class communication solutions to businesses in the SME Sector. We strive for the highest standards in everything we do, to deliver the best to our customers and this is evidence of that. I am very proud of the whole team at Southern Communications and the partners we work with to deliver leading edge solutions to our customers.”

Southern Communications have been providing telecoms equipment and services to businesses since 1965 and have seen revenues grow from a turnover of £2m in 2002 to over £15m 2012/13. The continued success of the business has been down to the drive and determination of the management team to develop strong relationships with leading manufacturers and suppliers of fixed line, mobile and broadband solutions. These awards demonstrate Southern Communications ability to understand the needs of their customers and continue to deliver innovative solutions, to meet the rapidly changing needs of the modern business.

The CNA awards, now in it’s 11th year, celebrates excellence in organisations providing Telecom and IT services to businesses and non-profit organisations across the UK, rewarding those who demonstrate a genuine understanding of their customer needs and are able to deliver the highest quality fully integrated, innovative solutions through collaboration and creativity.
